Sock sewing patterns

Dear users, dear authors,
What are the advantages of sewing socks instead of knitting or crocheting them? What about the seams on sewn socks? Are they bothersome? Are there things you need to keep in mind when using a sewing pattern for socks?
Who would like to share their thoughts on this?

Sewing socks is definitely much faster than knitting or crocheting them.

Inge has even sewn some really thick ones before. With socks that thick, I’d say the seams probably don’t matter at all, since you’d likely wear them more like slippers. And with the thin ones, the seam probably isn’t necessarily at the bottom of the sole either.

I checked out the different options here on CP (which was really easy thanks to your link). You can make your own favorite socks with whatever designs you want. My grandson would probably pick Pokémon right now. There are so many beautiful fabrics to choose from. 

I haven’t sewn any socks yet, but I think it’s a great way to use up fabric scraps. My daughter once received a pair of hand-sewn socks as a gift—they’re really cute, and she loves wearing them.

I’d like to give it a try myself :).
