My sewing machines

I have an older Pfaff 1467, about 27 years old and still sewing like it did on day one. One of my grandsons is sitting in front of it; back then he wanted to learn sewing from me, when he was only 8 years old.
Then there’s my *new* sewing machine, a Pfaff Expression 3.2
Then the Pfaff Coverlock 4.0 and a Toyota overlock, which is already 14 years old too,
Those are my sewing machines, plus my Brother Inno-vis V3 embroidery machine.
With the little old Pfaff, I now only sew jeans and thick fabrics, for example, because I’ve adjusted the bobbin case so it lets the thicker denim thread through without any problems, and I don’t have to keep changing the bobbin thread tension on the Expression — because on that one I sew pretty much everything else I usually make, such as bags, children’s toys, coats, jackets, etc. I mostly sew jersey and sweatshirting on the Coverlock, unless I’m working with two different threads; then the overlock is used at the same time too, which also saves me from constantly rethreading.

My setup isn’t quite as professional—I sew almost exclusively by hand. I only use a machine for the long, boring straight seams:

Wow, Inge, that’s what I call professional. But once you’ve learned how to use every machine to its full potential, I guess that’s just normal :)
