Problems with a textured pattern

Hey there....
What exactly are you having trouble with?
If I’m reading this correctly, in the right side row you’re supposed to knit one stitch (edge stitch), then “increase” one from the cross thread, knit one, and repeat this until you have only three stitches left on the needle; knit two of them together, and then knit your edge stitch. On the wrong side row, knit your edge stitch, slip one as if to purl.... now purl one stitch and the one you picked up together, until there’s only one stitch left on the needle—your edge stitch..... 

It would be great if you could solve the problem quickly, because I have to delete pasted-in parts of patterns.
So please hurry. :-)
