This thread comes at just the right time for me: it gives me a wonderful opportunity to show off my brand-new
Christmas tree ornaments right away.
But they aren’t the only ones in my store, so it’s definitely worth stopping by to take a look.
Here are just a few examples.
For these
ornaments, I mostly used the same types of paper as for the ornaments above: they are a little thinner than photo cardstock, which makes them much easier to work with without making the ornaments too unstable.
For these
bells, on the other hand, I used only photo cardstock: since the basic shapes don’t have to be bent too much in this case, that worked quite well.
The same goes for these cute little
Christmas trees: they worked quite well not only with solid-color photo cardstock, but even with the coated kind, which is actually rather difficult to work with.
By contrast, no bend is too steep for corrugated craft cardboard, provided you know how to make use of the special properties of this type of paper and cut out the basic shapes for these
ornaments accordingly.
All of these ornaments are between 7 cm and 9 cm tall. They are easy to make and are also very well suited for crafters with little experience.
