Patterns for shadow knitting

Hi there. I hope someone here can help me.
I’d like to surprise my husband by knitting him a pillowcase with the logo of his favorite soccer team, using the shadow or illusion knitting technique.
What’s the best way to create a pattern for this?
I found a website with tips online, but I couldn’t quite figure it out.
Can anyone here help me with this?

Unfortunately, I can’t help you directly with this either... but maybe you could message an author here who also designs patterns for shadow knitting. I’d give that a try.
