Dear users, dear authors,
Animals are especially popular here on Crazypatterns. Our authors are very creative when it comes to DIY animals and enjoy writing patterns featuring cute animals. Many of them are crocheted, but there are also quite a few knitted and sewn animals, as well as animals made using other techniques such as knooking, sträkeln, crafting or embroidery. Our users love downloading the patterns with these cute animals. The photos of the finished projects in the gallery are simply wonderful to look at.

To make sure you don’t miss the highlights of the animal world on Crazypatterns, I’m starting this thread for zoo animals and exotic animals. These can include polar bears, giraffes, snakes, desert jerboas, parrots, elephants, hippos, rhinos, etc. pp.: there are no limits to your imagination.

Have fun making them

@Authors
please post two thematically appropriate patterns here in this thread. Please include a photo where the model for sale is clearly visible, the link, and, of course, at least four lines of text. The text should answer the following questions:
- Which model should be made using this pattern?
- What type of craft is involved?
- What material is needed?
- Can the pattern be made using leftover yarn?
- Is the pattern suitable for beginners?
- Why should buyers choose your pattern in particular?
- What makes it special?

Good luck

I’m looking forward to seeing a beautiful and diverse exotic animal world here in this thread.

Hello everyone,

Elephants usually live in Africa, but they’re also always welcome guests in our zoos.
Emilio the elephant, with his big, round eyes, is quite different: he prefers to live in a lovely home where he’s cuddled and loved.

Using the materials listed in the pattern, Emilio the Elephant measures 31 cm from the tip of his trunk to the soles of his feet.
The crochet pattern includes many step-by-step photos to make it easier to follow along. However, basic crochet skills (single crochet, increases, decreases) are required.

The pattern for Emilio the Elephant is available here: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/8132/haekelanleitung-elefant-emilio

Another guest at the zoo is the red panda—one of my favorite zoo animals.
This animal was the inspiration for my Pedro Panda, a cuddly stuffed animal that measures 23 cm tall when seated, using the materials listed in the pattern.

As with all my patterns, this one includes many step-by-step photos; however, it requires basic crochet skills.

The pattern for Pedro the Panda is available here: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/8134/haekelanleitung-panda-pedro

Of course, there are many other cute zoo animals to make. Get inspired.

Have fun!

Hello there!

One of the most famous animals is the ostrich. It’s pretty to look at and simply fascinating.
It’s not just fans of Australia who’ll love my ostrich.
Crochet your own little exotic creature. To the pattern

Just take a look here and in my shop ... I look forward to seeing you there

The kangaroo is also an extraordinary animal.
All sorts of things are said about it—or even made up.
For example, that kangaroos box wildly and can kick so hard with their big feet that you go flying.

Don’t worry, that definitely won’t happen with this kangaroo mom and her baby.

Big Cat Alert! As a knitted stuffed animal, the king of the animals turns out to be a tame and extremely friendly fellow who loves nothing more than watching over his humans’ sleep. So grab those knitting needles… I wouldn’t necessarily recommend Nelson to absolute beginners, but anyone who’s ever knitted socks before will have no trouble recreating him.
Choose a sturdy yarn that isn’t too thick, is machine-washable, and doesn’t pill easily—for example, Cool Wool by Lana Grossa. Leftover yarn is perfect for the striped sweater.

And another big cat… this tiger, who came into the world because I had a ball each of yellow and brown yarn left over, stole my heart in a flash—even though, or perhaps precisely because, he doesn’t fit the usual “cute” mold at all. His funny, unusual nose and startled expression touch me every time I look at him. Maybe you feel the same way?
Tiger Lokman can be worked in rows or rounds and is perfect for beginners !
The pattern and tons of photos from his last vacation are available here: CLICK
