The next summer is sure to come, and with these cute pieces of jewelry you can bring a little color into the dark winter season:

1) The anklet is quick to make and, thanks to the elastic cord, super comfortable to wear. Of course, instead of an anklet, you can also simply make yourself a bracelet by shortening it accordingly.
Here’s the pattern

2) This cleverly made “magic bracelet” with a wow effect never fails to amaze children. Thanks to the detailed video tutorial, it’s simple and doable for everyone.
This way to the pattern...

3) … and here’s something chic for hair too:
With these cool hair wraps, you’ll bring good cheer to cold winter days.

Since I really enjoy crafting with my 3 grandchildren, I always have lots of ideas. Most of them come up in everyday life. But I’ve written down a few ideas for you as patterns that are also useful beyond that. Maybe there’s something here for you.

I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.

Warm regards from Ina

Make your own buttons

The principle is very simple: you knead modeling clay with the kids until it is soft; you can also marble it for beautiful effects. Then it is pressed into food-safe silicone molds. The blanks then go into the oven to bake/harden. After they have cooled, they are decorated. You can also fill the buttons or other shapes with marzipan or chocolate and put them on cakes or small muffins. The pattern explains how it all works.

We also made game pieces for our board games from them. Everyone made some in their favorite color.

A homemade Advent wreath made of pompoms is also a lovely idea. First, you need to wind lots and lots of pompoms from yarn. There are pompom makers that make sure all the pompoms turn out the same size. The kids can do the winding wonderfully, and you can then cut open the pompoms and tie them off.

After that, the pompoms are attached to a Styrofoam half wreath with long pins. The children can help with this too, arranging and pinning them in place. Finally, you add the decorations.

You can find thefree pattern in my Shop.

Best wishes, and Ina hopes you have lots of fun making it yourself

Good old paper snowflakes—a beautiful decoration that’s not too hard for kids to make either.

These and 12 other snowflakes can be cut out of any very thin paper, such as tissue paper. They’re about 20 cm in size and can be attached to windows using small rolls of adhesive tape.
