Unraveling Hand-Knitted Items + Winding Up Unraveled Yarn: Any Tips?

do you have any tips for unraveling hand-knitted items or for winding up and reusing the unraveled yarn?

Does anyone else have anything to add?

I’m actually a master at unraveling, but I don’t really have any advice to offer.

Maybe you should try to avoid having to unravel mohair or other fluffy yarns. For one thing, it’s very tedious—sometimes you really have to do it stitch by stitch—and quite a few of my projects have already ended up in the trash because the yarn got completely tangled up after just a short time. 

When I have to unravel something made of yarn, I use something small to wind the yarn onto.
