Dear users, dear authors,
we now have so many beautiful patterns here on CP that it’s simply hard to keep track of them all and actually discover all the lovely patterns.
So here’s another thread for the very loveliest free patterns in January.
Have fun browsing, discovering, and making them.

@Authors
please put only free patterns in this thread AND only patterns that were added to the shop in January 2016 or added to the blog.
Please include an image, link, and text in each post.
Please also write a few words here in the thread for links to blog posts.

@Readers
if you really like one of the free patterns, the authors will appreciate not only a comment or a review, but also a click through to the shop. Enjoy.

Hello everyone,

I’ve posted a lovely little free crochet pattern on the blog that you can use to crochet pretty little birds as decorations!

I’ve also created and posted a free craft pattern for small gift boxes (the little birds would fit perfectly in them, for example, if you’d like to crochet some to give as gifts)!

Best wishes - Yours, Nina

Hi,

unfortunately this free pattern didn’t come out until after Christmas, but if you give Trita the squirrel a different skirt color, she’ll turn into a spring squirrel in no time! Have fun!

You can always use a little lantern—and this one is quick to crochet with just 30 g of thick cotton yarn. It fits perfectly into a standard 375-g jam jar , which can be fitted with a maxi tea light. It looks lovely in small groups on the table or even on its own as an eye-catcher in or on a tree. With very little effort, you’ll have a lovely little decoration for both summer and winter. The free pattern is perfect for beginners because everything is described in great detail and shown step by step. Here’s the direct link to the pattern:
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/blog/509/gratis-haekelanleitung-kleines-windlicht I hope you enjoy this pattern.Warm regards from Ina

P.S. Crocheted using the same pattern but with sisal cord… simply wrap the wire around the rim of the jam jar and bend it into a handle—that way, you could also hang it in a tree… next summer is sure to come!

Here I’d like to introduce you to my very first crochet pattern, which I created several years ago. Even so, I recently brought it out again and didn’t want to keep it from you. It all started with this owl, which is probably exactly why it means so much to me.

It’s well suited for beginners, and I think it’s also a nice activity for children, if adults are there who can help with the sewing now and then.

All you need for it is:1) A size 3 crochet hook2) Yarn: leftover Schachenmayr Bravo in any color, e.g. pink or light blue or lilac or …, small leftovers in white for the eyes and possibly for embroidering the feathers later, yellow or orange for the beak and feet, black for sewing on the eyes and possibly for embroidering the feathers later. Of course, any other yarn will work too3) 2 small buttons for eyes (e.g. blouse buttons)4) Needles for sewing on, stuffing material, scissors, a key ring

I have a sewn cotton heart with a crocheted flower. In my step-by-step pattern, I show you exactly how to make it.  You can find the pattern here: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/blog/485/herzanhaenger-aus-stoff-mit-haekelbluete Have fun with it! If you can’t sew, that’s no problem. You can find a pattern for a crocheted heart in my shop. The link is below this post. Best wishes....Danie from crochetwithlove

@Moderator Josefa: Why is all the formatting missing from my post, even though I edited the text and added paragraphs? Is there anything I can do about it?
