How has your summer been so far?

Dear users, dear authors,
how’s your summer going?

It’s been pretty low-key, since I hardly ever go out—first of all because I can’t stand this heat at all, and then there’s this stupid COVID-19, which is keeping my husband and me stuck at home; we’re avoiding any birthday parties or other
invitations.
Plus, we’re still busy renovating—we figured that now that we’re both retired, we’ll take as much time as we need for it, and if the whole thing drags on for months, that’s fine too. :-)

We’ve been spending a lot of time on the patio. We haven’t been out and about much, since some days are just terribly hot.
We also skipped a lot of things this summer, like eating out, going to amusement parks, going to the pool, and attending concerts.

Our summer has been nice so far, but it’s been very different from previous years. 

Hi everyone,
we bought a motorhome (even before the pandemic) to prepare for our retirement. Now we’re out and about every weekend. We visit campgrounds within a 2-hour drive—places like the Eifel, Mosel, Ahr, Hunsrück, Ruhr, and so on. From there, we go hiking and geocaching. We spend hours alone in the woods and fields or in the RV, giving COVID-19 the middle finger.
