My Relaxation Exercise

Here’s a little glimpse into my relaxation exercise. It’s called doodling or Zentangling. It’s a lot of fun. All you need is a pen and paper.

I enjoy things like that, too. It reminds me of paint-by-numbers, which used to be a big passion of mine. Though right now I have so many other things that excite me...

But it’s great as a relaxation exercise!

Dear Andrea, it almost makes me a little dizzy when I look at a picture for too long. I can totally imagine that when you’re drawing, you get completely absorbed in the designs and totally zone out. It’s a shame it’s only on paper. You should think about what else you could do with it. If you drew on plastic sheeting (graph paper underneath, plastic sheeting on top), you could make window decorations or covers for lanterns. That would definitely look great.

Wow, Ina, that’s a great idea of yours. I would never have thought of that.
Maybe you could also use regular mobile foil—paint it, then put the laminating film over it—so it’s kind of sealed, punch a hole through it, and it’s ready to hang.
I’ll give it a try. It’s nice when people help you out. :-) :-)

I’m glad, Andrea, that I was able to inspire you. Especially on summer evenings on the patio, I think a colorful lantern like that would be magical. If you decide to try this out, we’d love to see a picture of it. Oh, I can almost see it glowing on my garden table :-)
