Children's Hat with Scarf

Hi,
I have a question about the hat.
Is it one piece or two?
Or does the pattern cover both?
I imagine it might be pretty bulky if the scarf part is pulled over the hat.
Otherwise, this would be exactly the hat I need, because my little one pulls every hat off
and throws it out of the stroller.

Hello Hansi,

In the pattern I describe a single piece (the hat and scarf combined). If you only want to crochet the hat or just the scarf, you can simply follow the relevant steps in the pattern and ignore the rest. That way, you can crochet just the hat, just the scarf, or both separately.
