I'm looking at a scarf that uses something called an edge stitch. What is that?

Hi!
I know three edge stitches: knotted, chain, and seam. Only the designer knows what “and Edge Stitch” is :-)

There are several types of edge stitches. As Tanja mentioned, there are knotted, chained, and seamed stitches. You can also use an I-cord as an edge stitch. “Edge stitch” refers to the first and last stitches.
