Crocheted chunky knit

If I want to achieve a chunky knit effect with a crochet hook, what do I need to keep in mind?

For a chunky knit look, I crochet double crochets and, in the following row, always work as follows:
I work around the double crochet and then crochet another double crochet as usual.
If you alternate between working from the front and from the back, you’ll get a very chunky
“knit one, purl one” look.

I think this refers to front and back post double crochet stitches.
These are crocheted around the “post” of the stitch.
Since you always crochet one front post double crochet and one back post double crochet, it looks almost knitted.
