The Fascination of Yarn Cakes: Why Are They So Popular?

What’s so great about these popular yarn cakes?

I like the blend of materials (cotton and acrylic), which I find comfortable against the skin.

The color combinations are practically endless.
Not to mention the (mostly) gentle color transitions.

At first, it feels unusual to work with yarn made of multiple strands instead of twisted yarn.
Twisting the yarn slightly makes it easier to work with.

I can only agree with CreatOwl: I love how soft they are, and I’m always excited to see the new color come into play. You do have to be careful to catch all the threads, but I think the result is worth it!
