Weave in ends

Hi, is there a trick for weaving in ends neatly, so they’re barely visible but secure? Some of my ends come undone after a while. Thanks for your feedback.

I’m lazy about weaving in ends, so I try to weave in as much as possible while I’m crocheting or knitting.
For knitted items, I try to hide the ends at the end by following the stitches, and for crocheted items I go through the double crochets as much as possible. I always try to go directly through the yarn; with twisted yarn this works pretty well, but with yarn cakes it doesn’t, so I try to get creative as best I can.
But you can’t really completely prevent the ends from poking out again at some point. Some people use a drop of fabric glue, but I’ve never tried that.

My tip: Before weaving in the ends, I generally split the yarn into individual strands and weave them in in different directions. This
way, the area doesn’t become as bulky and is
well secured by the different directions. It does take a little
extra effort, but it has worked really
well for me, especially with crochet projects and children’s items. Even if one strand comes loose, the others stay secure.
