Thank you so, so much for the kind birthday wishes.
I took it easy yesterday and spent the day exactly as I wanted—with lots of knitting needles, plenty of ice cream, and plenty of rest. Today we’re celebrating extensively with the family—with food, cake, and sparkling wine—but also in a small group, which is exactly what I wanted, because after my mother’s serious illness (and subsequent recovery), I’m just happy to be able to celebrate with my closest family at all.
