there are lots of owl patterns here that you can use to crochet all kinds of owls—large, small, flat, etc. But this pattern is my favorite. So far, I’ve steered clear of the owl trend. I didn’t really want to copy what everyone else has. But since there are so many cute owls shown here, I’d like to join in after all. Not for cuddling, but just as a decoration.

What is it with all of you and owls? They’re cute, sure, but impractical. Where can you actually use owls? Just as decorations?

Owls are good as decoration
as children's toys
for cuddling
as gifts

But of course one owl isn't enough, then you really need a whole owl family
preferably in different sizes, shapes, colors, and styles.

I don't really know where the owl trend came from either
but it's probably like cat pictures on the internet
at some point it started, and now everyone does it
so you just have to join in or get swept along
or you create your own trend

I don't actually have anything against owls, I just think all those owl amigurumis make the "amigurumi scene" a bit monotonous

someone really put a lot of effort into it, not just with the pattern, but also with a story to go with it

but then it would be nice if there were at least new patterns for other amigurumis etc. every now and then
