First-graders / Schoolchildren: How’s the new school year going?

Dear users and authors,
how are things going with your first-graders / schoolchildren?

Things are going well for my two daughters.

My younger daughter changed schools and is still settling in. Until tomorrow, she’s
with her school at the national soccer finals—Youth Trains for the Olympics.

My older daughter is already super stressed out at school with exams and tests.

My oldest is now in his third year of secondary school. An old hand, so to speak—he knows the ropes. Right now, they’re still taking it easy: that means 2–3 tests a week and review sessions. The major tests start in three weeks.

My youngest changed schools this year. She’s no longer in elementary school—she’s attending a sports middle school. It’s just right for her—eight hours of sports a week and teachers who take good care of the kids, even looking out for them at times.
But she still has to adjust to the fact that there are tests, that she now has to learn vocabulary, and that there are a lot of new kids there.
But she’s an open-hearted and friendly soul; she’ll handle it all just fine with our help.
