This beautiful shopping net is very roomy (approx. 40 x 50 cm) and sturdy, so it can easily hold lots of groceries. The crocheted-in heart pattern shows who it’s meant for ;-) If you prefer it simpler, just crochet the pattern from the back, which consists of simple filet squares. Mom is sure to love it. In summer, she can also use the net as a beach bag.

If you’ve always wanted to learn Tunisian crochet , this market bag is just the thing for you. It’s crocheted using the basic Tunisian stitch, which is described in detail in the pattern. Other than that, there’s nothing else you need to worry about. The color gradient emerges naturally from the skein of yarn, and all you have to do is crochet a large rectangle. You decide how big you want your bag to be. Finally, the rectangle is folded origami-style and sewn together. To make the seams less noticeable, we’ll crochet a decorative border over them. We’ll crochet this border using the conventional method, just like the handle.
