5D Diamond Painting

Has anyone had any experience with these little stones? I saw it online the other day and watched a beginner’s video. I could see this as my next hobby.

It’s like paint-by-numbers with colorful stones (square or round) that you stick on.

There are some great designs, but unfortunately they’re too big to try out for now. I’m definitely tempted to give it a try.
I’d love to hear about your experiences.

Yeah, there are some really great designs out there! But you definitely need a steady hand and a lot of patience. With those little stones, it’s definitely quite a fiddly task. But I’d enjoy that too—I do cross-stitch, after all, and those pictures are made up of pixels as well.
By the way, craft stores (e.g., Buttinette) do carry smaller designs. Or you could choose a smaller cross-stitch pattern to start with.

Hi, I started out with pictures that were 24x34 cm. One was a partial image, so I only had to place stones on part of the picture. The second was a full-coverage image; it’s not difficult, and you don’t really need a steady hand either. I finished the partial image in about 3–4 hours one evening. The full-coverage image took 3 days, about 3–4 hours each day. Now the pictures have been framed and are ready to hang. If you have any questions, I’d be happy to help.

hi @Arni, I googled it, and if you enter "Diamond Painting 5D" on the Amazon page, there are pictures that are partially covered with stones. Take a look.
