Ribbon yarn

I was cleaning out my stash today and found lots of little scraps of ribbon yarn. Do you have any ideas for what I could do with them? Otherwise, I’d just throw them away.

Here’s what you could do: for example, you could make cords or drawstrings for hoods out of it.
Or you could use the leftover yarn to make a patch pocket on a sweater or something like that.

Well, if there really are a lot of small scraps, you could maybe make a scarf out of them. Just keep crocheting, for example, until you finish one leftover piece of yarn, then continue with the next one. How long it ends up being just depends on how much leftover yarn you have.
And also on whether the colors somehow go together.

Ribbon yarn isn’t really suitable for amigurumi, otherwise I would have suggested making a pretty, colorful amigurumi out of the leftover yarn.

you could use the leftover ribbon yarn to make a pom-pom for a child’s hat. It would be nice and colorful, and the special texture of the ribbon yarn would really make it stand out.
