It would definitely be great for kids
to put together a whole amigurumi zoo like that.
They’re usually quick to make, too.
I think this safari idea is really cute.

An amigurumi zebra would be a great addition,
or maybe some amigurumi lions.

I’d like to crochet a real mini-safari on a 2x2-meter area with palm trees, animals, and other small plants :-). It’s a big project, and I’m curious to see if I’ll be able to pull off this little crocheted safari world. I’m not sure yet what I’ll use instead of sand. Do you have any ideas?

A crocheted blanket in beige with post double crochet to give it a slightly bumpy texture?
Or a crocheted blanket made with a mix of several different shades of beige and brown?

Why do people even crochet amigurumi? You can't really use them for anything.

I crochet amigurumi mainly for my kids. They like playing or cuddling with them (when the amigurumi are a bit bigger). For example, they each have a ladybug they love to play with, and I crocheted our cats for them as stuffed animals after we had to give them away because of an allergy. They have to come to bed every night for sleeping. And then they keep asking for more to play with; there have already been dolls, horses, seahorses, polar bears, etc. For kids, they're simply great if you make them with safety eyes.
But you can also make some for yourself as decoration. The owls that are currently on trend, for example, are great for that. Or seahorses and octopuses as decoration for the bathroom. There are lots of possibilities there, too.
