Dear users, dear authors,
did you have a nice weekend?
How are you? How’s it going?
What’s the weather like?
What’s for lunch?
Do you have any weekly plans or craft goals?
Last week I bought some black pants fabric and a black-and-white jersey with red, to sew as a combo. Today I bought 4 more jerseys, which are supposed to become 4 hoodie-style shirts. In the evenings while watching TV, I’ll finally finish knitting my socks and then tackle my gradient yarn cakes and knit something with them. So this week is nicely filled with sewing and knitting.
I finished crocheting my new “scrap-eater” gang today. They’re now waiting to be put to all sorts of uses. :-)
Now I’m going to get started on writing the pattern.
The weather is almost like it is in April—pretty damp. The good news is that the snow is finally melting. That gives a little hint of spring.
I look out the window and see big, wet snowflakes—and I certainly felt them on my way home! At noon today, the meadows were still green and the streets were dry, but now the meadows and rooftops are white again! Slowly but surely, though, the white flakes seem to be turning into raindrops…
Yes, back when we still lived way up north (a loooong time ago), we rarely got any snow. Here in southeastern Bavaria, that’s the norm in winter. Though not as much as this year. I thought it was beautiful. But now it’s finally time for spring to arrive.
The first starlings flew in today. Harbingers of spring?
My parents were here today and kept Anton entertained—I spent the whole day in the kitchen preparing 16 days’ worth of lunches for Anton. I also made spinach spaetzle for tonight, and for tomorrow morning I tried making an apricot spread. Now I’m pretty exhausted.
