Guten Tag Elisabeth

ich finde diese Plattform wunderbar. Habe schon einige gute Anleitungen heruntergeladen.
Irene Roggwiler

Dear Irene,
I’ve thought about your suggestion and would
like to respond from both a designer’s and a user’s perspective.

First of all, the designers would have to provide two patterns, not crazypatterns.
Even if it doesn’t always seem that way, a lot of work goes into creating patterns. A second version of the same pattern would take more time, but it certainly wouldn’t lead to more sales.
You can see that just by the fact that you’re now buying the detailed patterns yourself.
I think that’s why most designers won’t go for this idea.

I also have an issue with patterns that are too long. Above all, it bothers me when people write pages and pages of stories without getting to the point. But that’s a matter of taste. There are people who just want to knit or crochet (in my experience, that’s most of them) and those who also want to be entertained. I keep my patterns very short and concise, which naturally results in fewer pages. This, in turn, gives some people the impression that they’re not getting much for their money. You can’t please everyone.

Here’s how I handle overly lengthy patterns:
First, I skim through them on the computer to see if important sections are highlighted in color. I check to see if there are pages that contain only charts. Then I set the printer to black-and-white and print only the pages that are relevant to me. These are usually the key to symbols and the charts. I can print pages with important colored markings individually in color. And if there’s something I need to look up, I can always check the pattern on the computer.

Best regards,
Heidi

Hi there!

The patterns I’ve bought from you—or been able to download for free—are just perfect for gifts and decorations. It just makes me so happy to see the little cuties’ eyes light up when they see the finished products. I just think it’s so cute how they light up, and that lets you know you’ve done everything right—and that’s the best thank-you in the world you can get.

Best regards, Diana

Hello

I think all the patterns here are fantastic. The patterns I’ve bought here—and the ones I’ve been able to download for free—are so great that I usually don’t know which one to make first. I admire everyone who has the talent to design such patterns and is full of ideas. Thank you so much for that—especially when children are happy about them and their eyes light up with joy; that’s the best reward for all the hard work that goes into creating your patterns.

Best regards, Beate

Dear customers,

the October promotion has now ended, and we are very excited about the result. During the promotion period (October 2 to 31), around 14,900 reviews were written by 2,493 users for approx. 2,482 products

Thank you very much for taking part!

The winners are:

1. Peterle with the review for the pattern: No more cold feet! Felt soles for all shoe sizes - knitting and felting pattern
Excerpt from the review:
Since I didn’t want to buy new riding boots just for this, and there were some that were only one size too big, I thought maybe these soles would help. Plus, it’s going to get cold soon. That kills two birds with one stone!

2. Miki74 with the review for the pattern: Crocheted Snowman | Free Crochet Pattern
Excerpt from the review:
What a lovely idea to crochet a snowman in this form!
My 13-year-old niece made this funny little fellow today as her first crochet project. After practicing the basic stitches (ch, sl st, sc, etc.) for some time now, I showed her this pattern today and she was absolutely thrilled. She immediately picked out matching yarn and a crochet hook and started working from the pattern.

3. Peterle with the review for the pattern: Free Pattern: Tampon Monster
Excerpt from the review:
Really a great idea for storing those “things” nicely.
I’ve already finished one. My niece is getting it for Christmas as a gag gift alongside her other present! It definitely won’t be the last little pouch I crochet ;o)

4. Miki74 with the review for the pattern: Crochet Pattern, Dino Pencil Case
Excerpt from the review:
I crocheted the dino pencil case for our 7-year-old son. The pattern explains the individual steps well, and many of them also include pictures. The actual pencil case is quick and easy to crochet. Perhaps sewing in the zipper could have been explained in a bit more detail, just in case someone is doing that for the first time.
I used double crochet yarn, which gives the case a bit more stability and keeps the stuffing from showing through the yarn.

5. Peterle with the review for the pattern: Crochet Pattern - Triangle Shawl “Harlequin”
Excerpt from the review:
When I bought this crochet pattern, I was going through a “cowl and scarf” phase! ;o) and I can only agree, the gradient yarns are perfect for the pattern. The triangles crocheted into one another create a beautiful overall look.
With the pattern, which is really clear and simple, you learn it in no time. With plenty of photos and the crochet chart, it went great. Everything is explained in detail.

6. uschimaus with the review for the pattern: Crochet Pattern: Keychain “Snowman” (Christmas Tree Ornament)
Excerpt from the review:
A very clear pattern that even beginners can definitely follow. With a little skill, you get a lovely result very quickly. It took me 1 1/2 hours to make one snowman. It’s ideal for using up leftover yarn (we all have that, I think).

7. Barsch13 with the review for the pattern: Knitting Pattern Hat “Lana” - for all sizes
Excerpt from the review:
I probably hadn’t knitted in over 20 years and got back into it after seeing the pictures of these hats. By chance, I had also ordered exactly the right yarn online shortly before. But I never would have thought I could get back into it so easily.

8. uschimaus with the review for the pattern: Crochet Pattern Paulchen the Reindeer XXL
Excerpt from the review:
Very, very good pattern. Absolutely clear. It really is advisable to assemble Paulchen in the order described, because otherwise you make things too difficult for yourself. I didn’t have felt for the eyes. I used craft foam and glued it on. Looks good too, and you don’t have any seams around the eyes. You really have to stuff the legs very firmly so that Paulchen stands well.

9. Peterle with the review for the pattern: Free | Cowl, knitted scarf, unisex, slouch, infinity scarf
Excerpt from the review:
This is one of those things where I ask myself, why didn’t I knit it sooner?
The simple knit-purl pattern makes it hug wonderfully and helps prevent tension.
The pattern is laid out very clearly. In the general section at the beginning, the author writes that there are different ways to wear it. The middle section provides information about yarn and needle size, and in the knitting pattern in the last section, it lists exactly how many stitches, on which needles—there are different ones (!)—and in how many rows it is knitted.

10. koerdel with the review for the pattern: Set * LIAH + KEA * Newsboy Hat and Poncho, from Baby to Adult
Excerpt from the review:
This pattern is once again a very lovely set by leomaxi. As always, the pattern is described very precisely and includes pictures, with various details about materials and needle size. It always states what difficulty level the respective pattern has.

Congratulations and thank you very much for taking part!
