Oh yes, thanks! I’m in the middle of another teddy-sewing frenzy right now :-) Waiting for teddy plush and fabrics—I’ve got some white fabric lying around; I sewed a polar bear cub out of it yesterday, which you can see in the gallery

Yesterday I bought a pattern for an Easter doily. I actually wanted to crochet it as a break from the Kasper puppets and then really get started on it in March. Easter is still a while away, after all. But it’s so much fun that I’m working on it for now. So far, I’ve done 10 rows.
I’m on the train right now. I’m about to meet up with my parents, and then we’re going to see a Wolfgang Petry musical.
  Anton is at my mother-in-law’s.

I hope you all have a great day!

The little helpers weren’t very productive until after dinner—they just wove in the last few ends on the poncho… I spent part of the afternoon chatting with my neighbor, listening to a colleague’s tale of woe over the phone, and then baking myself an apple pancake (still using my own apples)—delicious, but unfortunately my husband doesn’t like that sort of thing, so I get to enjoy it whenever I’m alone. After dinner, I curled up on the sofa wrapped in a cozy blanket, turned on the TV, and picked up my knitting needles. Now the second arm warmer is already coming along nicely.

They’re doing well.

My current test version isn’t perfect yet,
but I keep coming up with more ideas for how to improve it.

I’m working on a comfort blanket for my daughter.
I’m going to finish it today. I’m on the second ear for the
bunny. Then I just have to sew on the ears, and the
comfort blanket will be done.

Then I’ll start on a teddy bear tonight. My mother-in-law ordered it
, so it’s a commission.

My little helpers are on vacation. Nothing’s happening here.
Still excited about the mowi sock on Sunday, and dead quiet since then. But it’s not the sock :)
Sometimes I have those total no-motivation phases.
Handicraft burnout or something...

Since I got a few skeins as a birthday gift over the weekend, I’m even less motivated to work on my tunic now...

Actually, I think the yarn is great for this, but since I’d already crocheted a dress with it that just didn’t fit right, I’ve probably been holding onto it for way too long.

BUT I’M GOING TO FINISH THIS ONE FIRST!

Since I’m working with a 2.5 mm hook, it’s taking a loooong time....

NO, don’t start anything else.

NO! ABSOLUTELY NO TO A NEW PROJECT!!!!

(Hopefully I’ll stick with it—I’ve been working on this on and off since August... hopefully the tunic will fit well and I won’t have to rip it out again... sigh...)

Well, we’ll see...

I’ve already been hard at work… on my UFO bear. And I’ll be crocheting some more today. After all, I want to cuddle with him soon.

I guess I’ll have to call on the little helpers to finish it up for me while I sleep. ;-)

Whenever my dog is asleep and I’m awake and can’t sleep because my thoughts are racing, I crochet candle holders. I crocheted eight of them yesterday and today, and I want to make more. When my dog is awake, I’d rather cuddle with him, so I can’t do any handicrafts.

row by row…

Claudia, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you and am looking forward to a picture of the finished tunic!
I have a UFO like that too—a lace shawl, also green... I’d actually love to finish knitting it someday, but I know it’s going to take a while since the fine yarn is paired with a pretty intricate pattern!

I almost don’t think I’ll make it to the end without taking on a side project… somehow, working with such a small needle size feels like it’s taking forever, and the fact that I wear size 52 doesn’t make it any easier. Because of that, I’m actually tempted to avoid yarn altogether right now. But it’s staying right here until I finish it. I think I’m going to really like the result. So far, I do… though that was also the case with the dress, until I sewed it all together.

Wollbaerli, just keep working on your shawl, row by row… Close your eyes and push through—eventually you’ll get there—sooner or later.

Then we can be proud of our creations.

Claudia: With long-term projects like these, it always helps me to write a lot here and show you the progress. That way, I can always bring myself to keep working on things so I can “show off” to you :-)

That way, I can keep motivating myself from row to row.

But needle size 2.5 is really tough.

I’m looking forward to more photos.

You’ll definitely manage it.

Christina: I’m also excited to see your shawl. :-)

I’ve figured out how to knit double-faced fabric without having to constantly switch colors:
First, I knit one row with one color. As I do this, I transfer the stitches of the unused color, without knitting them, to the other needle.
Then I do the same with the second color.

I’m actually supposed to be in the hospital right now, but my surgery has been postponed by four weeks, so I’m doing “very well.”
I’m going to use this time to work on an Easter pattern, then I’ll tinker with a nautical door wreath, and I’m also designing stitch charts for Tunisian crochet potholders to work on while watching TV.

@Sofis-Welt
I wish you soooo much strength for this difficult step.
I went through the same thing with my cat last year and know how damn much it hurts, even though you know it’s the right thing to do.
Welcome as an author, and good luck with your shop—I only just noticed.

Thanks for the motivation, Arni.
As soon as there’s visible progress, I’ll post new pictures...

Now my crochet hook is already starting to wobble in the handle... I wonder if that’s a sign I need a break? But it can go ahead and give out — I’ve got a replacement!

I confess, I DIDN’T stick with it; I switched to felting yarn in the meantime. From a size 2.5 hook to a size 12 — crazy how fast it’s going....
But the felting yarn was just lying around here, looking way too tempting — such amazing, vibrant colors...
