Hi,

I’m waiting for my husband to finish our renovations so
I can put up Christmas decorations. I’m already raring to go.
This weekend, I’d like to bake with the kids.

I’m doing pretty well. My stomach’s a little upset.

I’m getting closer and closer to my crafting goals.

It’s been raining cats and dogs here all day.

We’re having dinner tonight: bratwurst, mashed potatoes, and cucumber salad.

The weather here is anything but Advent-like: It poured on and off all day long—especially when I was out riding my bike! In the evening, our board got to enjoy a truly wonderful multi-course meal at a festively (Christmas-style) set table at the retirement home.

It’s been raining for three days and everything is gray.
When I see the rain pelting against the window behind my Christmas decorations, I think to myself: Yes, that’s real Christmas weather! Plus, a “pleasant” 14 degrees during the day....

I’m still knitting my coat and had to completely unravel the second front piece because I used the wrong size as a guide for the decreases :(
But I’ve almost finished knitting it again and hope to be done soon...
For lunch today we’re having potato casserole—my daughter asked for it. My “men” aren’t too thrilled about it, but since I’m not running a restaurant here, they’ll just have to deal with it. It’s not always easy to please everyone’s taste.

I hope you all have a stress-free week!

I’m not really in the Advent spirit yet, since I spent 10 days in the hospital as an emergency case. I’m back home now, but there are still no clear findings in some respects, and I’m not really making any progress with recovery—but I’m staying positive, and plenty of knitting time is on the agenda.

I wish everyone else a peaceful Advent season.

Today I had bishop’s hat squash stuffed with quinoa.
The marble cake is still waiting for its chocolate glaze.

Aside from my grumbling back, I’m doing well so far.

As for my crafts, I’m working on my spring scarf.
