Dear users, dear authors,
how are you all doing? This week is going to be great for all of us.
Do you already have plans and wishes for Advent and Christmas?
Have you already sent your wish list to St. Nicholas?
Have you started baking yet?
How are your weekly plans and craft goals coming along?
What’s the weather like?
I’m doing well and the week has gotten off to a good start.
We’re renovating at home, so everything’s still a bit of a mess.
But I’ll be able to put up Christmas decorations this weekend.
I might do some baking on Sunday if I have time
after decorating.
The weather is overcast but okay for this time of year.
This week, I’ll finish the Advent calendars and do a little crocheting here
and there.
I’m looking forward to our Christmas vacation in the mountains.
It’s warmer here than it’s been the last few days, and it’s been raining since yesterday. Everyone around me has a cold, and it’s caught up with me too: I’m suffering from a bad cold and a nasty cough. But despite that, I’ve been bitten by the knitting bug, even though I’m somehow starting everything at once and not finishing anything.
My plans have all been thrown out the window for now, since I’ve unexpectedly been in the hospital for the past 5 days. I’m hoping to avoid surgery, but we’ll just have to wait and see. So, in that sense, Christmas still feels pretty far away for me.
But I wish everyone else a relaxing Advent season!
I hope you get well soon, that you’ll be able to go home soon, and that everything turns out just the way you want it to.
I’m not really in the Advent spirit either, since I’m also preparing for a hospital stay.
I’m having surgery tomorrow and hoping for a positive diagnosis/results. Then Christmas can come.
Petra and Anli: Wishing you all the best and recovery.
For me, it’s been a state of emergency for months due to family worries and losses.
Now it’s time to grieve and get back on my feet.
So, for now, many projects are on hold.
But I have plans in my head and in my notebook—the time for them will come again.
The weather is typical for this time of year, and I’m not baking.
Instead, I’m currently taking every opportunity to tidy up, declutter, and reduce my household belongings. That feels really good right now, and I like the idea of “traveling light.”
I’ve even had a major clear-out in my craft supplies and actually parted with yarn I didn’t love. Out with those old, bedraggled balls of yarn. Out with the tiny scraps and everything that doesn’t please me to look at. There’s still plenty of material left as it is.
Good luck with your projects, and bake something nice for me!
Warm regards
Caro
