I've noticed lately that I keep having trouble printing the patterns I've purchased; this isn't the case with the free patterns. Does anyone else have this problem?

So we can narrow down the problem, I’d like to know what device you’re using to open the patterns: PC, laptop, cell phone, or tablet? What error message do you get when printing, or are you even able to access the print menu at all?
Some of the patterns come with a special print version—can you print those?
How long have you been having this problem?
Have you recently gotten a new PC, laptop, cell phone, or tablet? What printer are you using? Have you been able to print the purchased patterns in the past, or has this never worked for you before?
It would be great if you could provide a little more information and as many details as possible so we can help you with your problem.

Hi, I can get to the print menu, and the images print fine, but where there’s text, either nothing prints or just squares appear. I’ve always had a laptop and a Kodak printer, and when I print other things, it works perfectly. The patterns are so great, and I can’t sit at my laptop the whole time while I’m crocheting.

Hi, that’s really frustrating, of course. You pay right away, and then this happens… and now I have to chase after my purchased files. Naturally, I’ll have to think twice about whether I’d buy anything again.

I understand that it’s frustrating that printing isn’t working. But please also keep in mind that we—as admin and mods—are trying to help you here, even on weekends and during the Easter holidays.
Also, I’m pretty sure the printing issue doesn’t occur with all patterns.
I hope that the benefits of crazypatterns will continue to outweigh any issues for you and that you’ll keep coming back to the site.
If you’d like to let me know which pattern this is, I can contact the seller in question and ask them to resolve the issue quickly.
Then you definitely won’t have to chase after the file—because that’s obviously not how it’s supposed to be. But as long as I don’t know which pattern it is, there’s nothing I can do.

it would be a shame to lose you as a customer.
Are the files you can’t open all from the same provider, or are they from different ones?
If they’re from the same provider, you should contact them directly.
If they’re from different providers, then your device (laptop, PC, etc.) might be having an issue with them.
You might want to try a different device and see if it works there.
Personally, I’ve found that I can open and print some of the patterns I’ve downloaded on my
laptop without any problems. My PC sometimes acts up terribly with this.
However, I haven’t been able to figure out the cause yet. Both devices are about the same age and have the same programs installed.
But still, they behave completely differently.

could it be that the pattern was written in a font that your computer doesn’t support? Since you can see the images, but not the text. Are these always patterns from the same seller, or from different ones?
Are there any reviews for the purchased patterns that show whether others were able to work from the pattern?
