Hi, I'm looking for the pattern for the spiral egg warmers. They were in a group email a few weeks ago, but unfortunately I didn't respond right away. Now I'd like to crochet them, but I can't find the pattern anywhere. Can anyone help me? Thanks

hello rajulian,
welcome to our forum and to the platform.
Take a look here: egg cozy on Crazypatterns
There you’ll find all 49 egg cozies that we currently have in the shop. I hope your desired egg cups are among them.
Best regards from Mod Josefa

Thanks, but unfortunately it’s not there anymore :( I’ve since found out that this post was deleted again.

Hi again,
unfortunately, it does happen from time to time that patterns are no longer available for purchase.
The selection of patterns here on Crazypatterns is so large that you'll hopefully find another egg cozy pattern that you like.
Have you found anything nice among the egg cozies?
Greetings from Mod Josefa

What are these egg cozies actually for?
When you’re having breakfast, you usually eat the eggs pretty quickly. So are they more for decoration or are they functional? If you don’t rinse the eggs with cold water after cooking them, they stay pretty warm—or even scalding hot.
The eggshell insulates pretty well, doesn’t it?

If you boil several eggs, the first one is usually already cold by the time you’ve finished setting the table. Egg cozies are there to prevent that, so you can take your time getting everything ready—or in case you want to eat the egg last.
But I have to say, I use the warmers more for decorative reasons :D
My grandma was a real fan of egg cozies. There was no Sunday breakfast or picnic without homemade warmers that matched the occasion :)

Hi everyone,

I also think that egg cozies aren’t just used for purely decorative purposes. As already mentioned, they keep the eggs nice and warm, and in my family, too, we still have those good old chicken-shaped egg cozies on the breakfast table.

I’ve since designed some of my own, and they’re always a hit!

By the way, they also make a nice little Easter gift!

Best regards, Danie

Well, I was really interested in the spiral egg cozies because I’m going to use them more as decorative items. I just absolutely loved the design. But I’ve since found them on another forum and have already crocheted them. But when I think of my daughter, who always gets up around 11 a.m., these egg cozies will come in handy for her, too :)

I prefer scrambled eggs, so I don’t need a crocheted egg cozy. My better half, however, is very enthusiastic about crocheting egg cozies from various patterns. We’ll never be able to use that many egg cozies.

I give egg cozies to my children for Easter, among other things!
This thread gave me the idea. My oldest always gets up very late, too. My youngest, on the other hand, get up waaay too early! So I’ve found a great solution for the breakfast eggs :)

I think I’ll make a set like this too; there’s something for everyone!
