I'm doing pretty well.
I got through my vacation well, and New Year's Eve/New Year's too.
For now, I'm getting my chaos organized.
Yesterday I filed away my patterns. I now have
9 wide binders full.
Today it's time to take inventory of my yarn. That will probably
take up the whole week. On the weekend
I'd like to choose a new project.
My daily work routine has me back in its grip. Though today we got height-adjustable desks at the office. So I took the opportunity to clear everything out right away. The new desks are smaller than the old ones, which is a good reason to finally get rid of the old junk nobody needs anymore.
At home, everything is quiet too. My older one has snowboard lessons this week, and the little one is enjoying the week alone with Grandma, Dad, and the dog.
I’m finishing up a commissioned loop scarf. It’s a very simple pattern, which for me means I get bored quickly and it feels like it takes even longer until I’m finally done. But it has to be finished by Sunday. It’s for a colleague, and she’ll be back from vacation next Monday. And I still need to ask her exactly how she wants to wear it and whether I’m allowed to experiment a little when sewing it together.
We’ve had a cozy start to the new year.
I’m currently working on three patterns at the same time!! Things are coming along.
But I already have two new ideas in mind, and my fingers are itching to get started on them. BUT, one of my resolutions for 2018 is to finish every project I’ve started before beginning anything new. We’ll see if it works out.
I also had a very peaceful start to the new year. Luckily, the storm wasn’t as severe here as forecast.
Right now, I’m finishing up two projects—one crocheted and one knitted. This week, I’m setting aside plenty of time for them, and it’s really enjoyable.
I already have some ideas for how to use up my leftover yarn. A bigger project won’t get started until February.
The most important thing is that I’m feeling well. Dear Ida, I hope you get well soon! Make a point of treating yourself to some rest—it’ll definitely do you good.
We’ve also had a good start to the new year. So far, I’ve corrected someone else’s pattern and translated it so it can be followed; I’m currently finishing up another pattern (photos and final touches).
I’ve also received a commission for a cuddly little sheep, and then we’ll see. The storm and the nasty rain are getting on my nerves, and neither is really helpful with my winter depression. You can’t take as much St. John’s wort as would be necessary, and the light therapy lamp is in constant use.
