Sandals or espadrilles are essential for babies in the summer;

both patterns are written very simply so that anyone
can knit them without any trouble.

They use knit and purl stitches, with the soles worked on double-pointed needles,
and the rest in back-and-forth rows.

A little vest like this is always a perfect fit. Whether over a little dress, over a bodysuit, with shorts, or over a T-shirt, it always looks great.
The pattern is described in detail. For the design, you can work from the knitting chart or follow the descriptions row by row.

When summer arrives, a little vest over a T-shirt is often enough. This vest is worked in one piece, so it has no bulky seams.
The pattern for the vest and the flowers is illustrated and described step by step. In my shop you can also find other free appliqués that look lovely on a vest too.

A little romper like this is quick to knit and becomes an absolute eye-catcher with a crochet appliqué.
The romper is knitted with Schachenmayr Catania cotton, yardage 125 m per 50 g. It closes at the bottom with snap fasteners, making it easier to put on.
The pattern is described in detail and illustrated, and of course that also applies to the many crochet appliqués.
Sizes 56 and 62 are described.

Baby hat Ladylike for head circumference 38 cm - 40 cm crocheted

This baby hat is suitable for year-round wear and designed for a head circumference of approx. 38 cm – 40 cm. If you leave off the brim, it is a beanie.

Required crochet skills: chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, slip stitch. Magic ring and post double crochet are explained with detailed pictures, just like the entire pattern . The PDF pattern also includes a short version (for possible printing).

We need:
50 g per color (= 150 g total) of soft yarn, used here:
Cosima by Schoeller+Stahl, 55% virgin wool, 45% polyacrylic, 50 g – 70 m, information according to the yarn label: for knitting needle size 6 – 7, gauge: 14.5 sts x 21 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm. This corresponds to a crochet hook size of 5 – 6, but used here: crochet hook size 4.5; tape measure, scissors, yarn needle for sewing in ends, decorative button

This lightweight cotton pinafore dress, combined with a blouse or a shirt, is the perfect summer outfit for girls.

What’s special about it: it grows with your child from about 6 to 18 months and can also be worn during the cooler months with a sweater underneath.



Another advantage: It is knitted from the bottom up without seams. The knitting pattern is also easy for beginners with basic knowledge to follow.

• Changing colors in the round

The Lina baby blanket is knitted in a simple offset checkerboard pattern. You only need to know knit and purl stitches.

The yarn is a 4-ply merino blend with 75% wool and 25% polyester, with a yardage of 420 m. I used 2 skeins. The yarn is hand-dyed by Wollfeuerwerk (Facebook), Susanne Duscher. It’s best to use yarn with a small amount of polyester, so it can be machine-washed without any problems.

The blanket turned out to be 60 cm long and 72 cm wide.

Not just for Oktoberfest season..

For this special sleeveless baby vest without buttons, we need:

150 g merino wool in gray + 50 g merino wool in red, here Schachenmayr Merino Extrafine 120, 50 g – 120 m yardage, gauge according to the ball band: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm, knitting needles 3.0 – 4.0; here: knitting needles 4.0, cable needle, crochet hook 3.5 for the bow, stitch holder or similar for holding stitches, yarn needle for weaving in ends, stitch marker is helpful.

The PDF pattern is illustrated.

The red cable on the back is worked in intarsia technique (illustrated explanation is included) and requires some time and skill - so I would not recommend it for beginning knitters.

The cable also looks nice in solid gray; the whole piece is then knitted up quite quickly. For beginning knitters, I therefore recommend knitting this vest completely without the cable and/or in one color .

Summer, sun, sailboat... and our little ones fit right into the picture!
