Just wait and see—many things work themselves out. Things will turn out as they’re meant to. And everything happens for a reason, even if I don’t realize it right away.

A phrase that has stayed with me for a long time and whose meaning and importance are becoming increasingly clear to me:

Life is so light and beautiful once you’ve gotten rid of old baggage.

I find the following quote by Francis of Assisi beautiful, and it also resonates with my life:

“You say, O man, that it is a sin for me to love the dog most of all.
The dog is faithful to me in the storm; man is not even faithful in the breeze.”

I approach life with the quote by  Antoine de Saint-Exupéry (The Little Prince), which goes:
“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

It is what it is. The good and the bad.
That’s my own saying.

My mother-in-law always says:

“There’s no point in looking for things—everything will resurface when the time is right.”

You really save a lot of time by simply not looking for it. Everything really does resurface.

Here’s one from a completely different angle:

“Buy cheap, buy twice”—my husband and I have found that to be true so many times...

I’ve come to realize that “every negative experience ultimately leads to something positive, even if you don’t see the positive at first.”

So my miscarriage last year ended up making my marriage and my love for my husband even deeper and stronger.
And now I’m pregnant again, and everything is fine :-)

If it hadn’t been for various—not exactly pleasant—circumstances, I wouldn’t have my little yarn shop today, and I probably wouldn’t be on CP either.

This is always a challenge for me, but it has its merits. You can avoid quite a few mishaps if, when faced with matters that seem very urgent, you take a moment to think things through calmly before rushing off and taking action.

My motto is: You grow through your challenges. No idea who said that. Or: What doesn’t kill you only makes you tougher.
