Handicrafts for a wedding?

Hi :)
I was just browsing for hairstyle tips and stumbled across this:
http://www.vogue.de/beauty/beauty-trends/frisuren-brautfrisuren-2014#galerie/1
Wedding hairstyles
There’s actually nothing there that I really like.
But here’s a completely different question.
Can you also score points with handicrafts on your wedding day?
I can’t really imagine knitted or crocheted items, but maybe something sewn?
And if sewing a whole wedding dress is too much, then maybe a satin hairband like the one shown in the picture
http://www.vogue.de/beauty/beauty-trends/frisuren-brautfrisuren-2014#galerie/4
although you could/should maybe do it a bit differently, because it looks a bit out of proportion, with the hair lying flat above the band and then exploding underneath.

So, what do you think? Have you ever made anything for a wedding?

Curious regards

Who’s getting married here? Seriously?

How about some sewn decorations?

No, no, no
I’m not getting married
You guys are funny ;)
I was just looking for hairstyle tips
I’m in the process of growing my hair really long, so every now and then I look for alternatives to a ponytail.
And that’s how I came across the wedding article through the hairstyle tips.

As far as I know, these days you practically have to plan a wedding like a military operation, with flowers, decorations, jewelry, the dress, the groom’s suit, the guests, who sits next to whom and who absolutely must not sit next to whom, and all that. It’s really a lot of work.
If I ever get married, then only in a small circle. If at all.
I mean, those brides who spend ages preparing for the wedding, I always think that after all those labor-intensive weeks and months, they must fall into a kind of slump the day after the wedding. Sure, marriage is something completely new then, but that real goal you can work toward, the wedding day, is gone. After the honeymoon, marriage does become everyday life at some point.
I don’t know whether that makes sense, it’s just something I was thinking.

So anyway, I just wanted to know from those who are already married or who want to get married soon what kinds of things you can sew, knit, and crochet for it. But you two haven’t exactly been very informative so far either :)
