If you like things bright and colorful, I can warmly recommend these crochet patterns. Here you can really have fun with your favorite colors. And the most fun is combining different colors and creating new designs again and again. Maybe you’ll even dare to try some really unusual color combinations? Just give it a try.

For example, with the crocheted jar lanterns Lichterschein. All you need is an empty yogurt jar, leftover yarn, your crochet hook, and off you go. It’s best to crochet your way right through the color palette. Then you’ll also have a few gifts ready if you’re spontaneously invited somewhere.
Crochet pattern: Crochet “Lichterschein” lanterns

The Smile pillow is a lovely decorative pillow, but it can also be used for cuddling, because it’s made from nice, soft yarn. This one was crocheted in rainbow colors, but of course you can choose your favorite colors.
Crochet pattern: Crochet “Smile” pillow

This colorful hat is also especially suitable for beginners, because the square hat can be made without increasing or decreasing stitches. Thanks to the ribbed brim, it can be adjusted to any head circumference and made in any size.

Color is a matter of taste Crochet Pattern: Fence Owls

A wide range of colors and any leftover yarn that needs using up can be put to good use here in a fun way.

It’s fun:

  • just start crocheting and see what you come up with.
  • The neighborhood kids admire the fence and come up with new ideas :)
  • The fence comes to “life.”
  • Just something different, just for the heck of it… to make you smile.
You too can make others smile—it’s easy with this pattern.

Colorful and in cheerful shades, this shopping bag is knitted up quickly in thick cotton. You can play with colors and design the bag just the way you like it.
What you need to know: knitting in the round and a simple slip-stitch pattern (really not hard, I promise). And what you need: 2 balls of the main color, 1 ball of the contrasting color, each in cotton with approx. 69 m per 50 g.

This way to the pattern.

This scarf, which is very easy to knit, is especially well suited for colorful gradient yarns. You’ll need one skein of sock yarn for it.
The scarf is knitted diagonally and begins and ends with a pointed tip. A small lace border lightens up the overall look.

Do you have a child starting school this year in your family or among your friends? Or is someone you know beginning vocational training or college? For these and similar occasions, the colorful backpack is an original and fitting way to present gifts—some more humorous, some less so, depending on the occasion.

The backpack is made of cardstock, measures approximately 16.5 x 22.5 x 9 cm, and is easy to make even for beginners with a little crafting experience.

This knitted stole looks especially good in colorful gradient yarn, with long color changes that are fun to knit, too.
My original is made from Alize Cotton Gold Batik (a cotton-blend yarn with 329 m per 100 g), but of course you can use other yarns as well. You should plan for at least 600 m.
The stole is knitted in brioche stitch. The photos show exactly how it’s done.

You can find the pattern here.

Even crochet beginners can crochet these cheerful colorful little buckets from lots of colorful yarn scraps. They look great on any child’s desk and can hold all kinds of odds and ends.

On 22 pages I explain and show you step by step how to crochet them. We crochet chain stitches, single crochet, and double crochet. And don’t worry: you won’t have to weave in any ends - I’ll show you my tricks for how to avoid that.

Materials:
  • Bucket 1:
70 g colorful cotton yarn scraps of the same weight (125 m/50 g; e.g. Bingo 163 by ONline)
  • or Bucket 2:
60 g colorful cotton yarn scraps
  • Size 3 crochet hook
  • a small 1 kg plastic bucket (13.5 cm high and 13.5 cm in diameter),
like the kind you can buy at the supermarket (yogurt).
I hope you enjoy crocheting these beautiful colorful little buckets, which are sure to please you and your children/grandchildren.

Warm regards from Ina

I have another lovely recommendation for you: a brightly colorful, cheerful rug for a child's room. Surely no other child in the world has one like it - something truly special!

Materials for a rug approx. 65 x 100 cm in size:
  • 4 x 50 g Bravo yarn by Schachenmayr for the grid (133 m/50 g)
  • 350 g Bravo yarn leftover yarn for the knitting nancy cords (1 leftover must weigh at least 5 g)
  • 50 g Bravo yarn for the edge
  • Crochet hook size 3.5
  • Scissors, darning needle
  • Safety pins
  • Knitting mill (= knitting nancy) with crank by Prym
An ideal beginner crochet project, that is a lot of fun, but requires a bit of diligence and perseverance. We crochet a grid from chain stitches, single crochet and double crochet. We thread knitting nancy cords into the grid. I show you exactly how everything is done on 28 illustrated pages.

I hope you enjoy this project - Yours, Ina

With this detailed pattern, you’ll be able to crochet these fruity little pouches yourself—plenty of pictures will help you along the way. The pattern is 10 pages long. To crochet these little bags, you’ll need: a size 3.0 crochet hook, approx. 150 g of Lieblingsfarben No. 2 in the main color (chilli red for the watermelon, dandelion for the orange), a particularly durable and lightweight yarn that is ideal for bags; leftover yarn in natural and apricot for the orange; leftover yarn in rouge and cactus for the watermelon. Of course, you can also use other yarns, but cotton yarns are best suited. large buttons for the closure; small black beads for the watermelon seeds (about 8 pieces)You’ll need to know these stitches and techniques: single crochet (sc), increases, slip stitches, and the amigurumi ring

Colorful and cheerful, it brought good cheer and big, bright, wonder-filled eyes to children. 24 small, colorful pouches filled with lovely things are sure to make children’s hearts beat faster. If you start now, you’ll be finished in plenty of time for Christmas. And if you have several grandchildren, you should start early enough.

You’ll receive a detailed, illustrated 20-page step-by-step pattern, which is also suitable for crochet beginners. The printable template for the red Christmas stars with the numbers 1–24 is included.

Materials:
  • approx. 200 g of assorted “Bravo” yarn by Schachenmayr or another yarn with the same yardage (133 meters per 50 g); leftover yarn will
also do (per pouch = approx. 8 g of yarn)
  • Crochet hook size 3.5
  • Darning needle, scissors
  • Wooden clothes hanger with a bar (possibly paint for painting the hanger)
  • 24 small wooden clothespins, 4.5 cm long (available in craft stores or on eBay)
  • Tags with numbers 1–24 (can be printed from my template and used)
I hope you enjoy crocheting the pouches and creating the Christmas calendar. By the way, the pouches can also be used in many different ways as little mini gift bags and given away. I always crochet myself a small supply from my leftover yarn.

Best wishes - Ina
