Crochet a summer scarf

Hi,
I just started crocheting and have finished my first virus shawl.
Now I’d like to crochet a summer scarf out of cotton with gradient yarn.
I can only find patterns for loop scarves ;-( And when I do find a pattern,
I can’t make sense of the crochet chart. So I’d need a video tutorial to go with it.
Can anyone help me?
