A beautiful gift that every mother will be happy to receive is the crocheted shawl Be my Valentine.
The design expresses what you can never tell a mother often enough - "I love you".

The finishing touch is the little hearts that are worked onto the tips.

What do you need for the shawl?

  • Yarn (about 700 - 900 meters depending on the yarn used - e.g., 4-ply gradient designer yarn, also called a "Bobbel")
  • Crochet hook in the appropriate size
  • Sewing needle for weaving in the ends
  • Time and enthusiasm and ...
  • a little love ;0)
Only basic crochet skills are needed for the shawl (slip stitches, single crochet, chain stitches, double crochet, etc...) The pattern contains a detailed photo tutorial for the individual steps as well as crochet charts. The pattern is 16 pages long.
Difficulty level: easy.
The finished shawl measures approx. 180 x 60 cm.

And best of all: For a short time, you can still save up to 25% on the pattern price.

Click here and get the great pattern for a wonderful Mother's Day gift.

I have a great tip for all dads who love to fish. I speak from personal experience. My husband is an angler and, of course, he’s out at night in his rubber boots… and his feet were always cold. Wool socks alone just weren’t enough. So I knitted him some insoles out of felting wool . They keep his feet really warm and act as an insulating barrier between the outside and inside. His feet stay dry and warm. My husband is happy, and I’ve used up my leftover felting wool. All you need is some felting wool and a size 8 circular knitting needle. A little effort, big impact! And if you make smaller insoles, they’ll even fit in rubber boots or clogs for the little one ;-)

Best wishes - yours, “Ina knits”

I also have a secret tip for moms: the softest, coziest, most snug infinity scarf you can imagine. All you need is 50 g of “Superior” by Filatura di Crosa, a circular knitting needle, and a size 3 crochet hook.  A top-notch neck warmer and just the thing for anyone who wants the best for their mom .

I hope you have lots of fun knitting, giving it as a gift, and enjoying the happiness it brings. Yours, “Ina strickt”

P.S. You’ll probably end up knitting an infinity scarf for yourself afterward ;-)

What would Mother’s Day be without flowers..... and you can find them here at Flima.
My recommendation: give a wonderfully beautiful amaryllis in your mother’s favorite colors.

You’ll find the pattern for it in the Flima - Nursery, along with many other beautiful flowers.

Black-Red-Gold Bottle Outfit - crocheted

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

One for Mom, one for Dad... or for soccer fans... or...

but not just for Mother's Day or Father's Day.

This original gift wrapping for wine and sparkling wine bottles is an eye-catcher at any party... crocheted as a “bottle petticoat” for her and a “bottle suit with bow tie” for him.

Leftover yarn can be used up wonderfully this way.

We only need
about 25 g per color per bottle, so about 75 g of a yarn for crochet hook size 2.5. For my set, I used leftover yarn from a 4-ply sock yarn for the red and black parts, and one skein of Catania (100% cotton) for the yellow parts on both bottles. If you crochet with Catania, this part will be a little thicker, which is an advantage for the petticoat because it stands out better. Otherwise, pretty much any yarn is suitable as long as it is not listed as thicker than for hook size 3.0. We also need a measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle for weaving in ends, a stitch marker is helpful (contrasting thread works too), and of course standard wine or sparkling wine bottles.

Both patterns are included in one PDF and are thoroughly illustrated over 15 pages. The pattern is not a basic crochet course, but it does include a link tip for those who are less experienced.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, crocheting in rows and rounds, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet.
Front and back post double crochet are explained and illustrated.

Have fun crocheting & gifting.

Sweet little Freddy the Piglet with a heart is perfect as a gift for Father’s Day or Mother’s Day!! With his charming look and his long, lanky legs, he is simply irresistible! Freddy is approx. 20 cm tall (including ears), the little heart is approx. 6 cm tall and approx. 7 cm wide (at the widest point). His “dangly legs” can move in all directions, so he can also sit perfectly on any table edge or corner. What you need:
  • A 3 mm crochet hook
  • approx. 60g pink yarn (I used Schachenmayr “Universa”), suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. Approx. 15g white/cream-colored yarn for the feet and arms, also suitable for a 3mm crochet hook. Black threads for the face.
  • A darning needle, possibly pins to sew on the individual limbs more precisely at the end.
  • Stuffing/craft stuffing
  • 8mm safety eyes
  • Scissors
  • For the little heart you will also need red yarn (100% cotton), which should also be suitable for a 3mm crochet hook
Scope: 25 illustrated pages
Difficulty level: Easy, suitable for beginners. It is crocheted entirely in single crochet stitches. You should be confident making a magic ring, crocheting single crochet stitches, and increasing and decreasing stitches. Freddy is excellent for beginners!

Now grab your crochet hook and let’s get started! Have fun making it. Do you have questions? Then send me a message; I will reply as quickly as possible!Kind regards, Crocheting- Anni

Mom, I’m giving you a heart that will always keep you warm!

This “heartfelt” grain pillow provides pleasant warmth and can also be used as a cold pack.

One side is crocheted in the beautiful popcorn pattern, the other with single crochet stitches. This way, you can decide for yourself how much warmth you want to feel.
The heart measures about 20 x 20 cm and is crocheted from potholder yarn.

Oh yes, you can also use the crochet pattern for a heart-shaped potholder. Then you just need to add a hanger at the top.

These roses never wilt

A special way to give roses is to give the hand offering them as well. With the little hand presenting the roses, your mother will always think of you and proudly show it to her friends.

With the crochet patterns for the little hand and roses with stems you can create a very special Mother’s Day gift.

Both patterns are well suited for beginners and describe step by step, with lots of pictures, how to crochet a hand offering roses.

For the hand:
required skills:
magic ring, single crochet

required materials:
approx. 75 g white yarn for needle size 3–4, or double the amount for a smaller needle size, crochet hook size 3 (important!)

For the rose with stem:
required skills:
chain stitches, slip stitches, double crochetrequired materials:
leftover yarn in your desired color and green, crochet hook suitable for the yarn weight, craft wire, yarn needle, and scissors

You can get the crochet pattern for the hand and the rose with stem only here.

Even "just" as a decoration, this heart is a gift that any mother will be delighted with. But a customer gave me another possible use for it, and I don’t want to keep it from you. She wrote that she filled the heart with sweets and used it as gift packaging. I think this idea is wonderful! So that the heart is not destroyed when it is emptied, instead of gluing the two halves the heart consists of together, you can simply connect them at a few points with red thread. To empty it, the threads are cut, the two heart halves remain intact, and the heart can then be used as a decoration.

The decorative heart is cut out of cardstock and is approx. 21 x 22 x 4 cm in size. Making it is uncomplicated, but experience in handling a craft knife and nimble fingers are absolutely essential here.

This decorative door wreath is a great Mother’s Day gift. It’s very easy to make and can be crocheted from a few pieces of leftover yarn in shades of white and pink. Since it’s only 12 cm in diameter, it also works well as a window decoration.

Every mom is sure to be delighted with these two cuties.
Take a look at the two of them. Josie and her daughter Mary are waiting for spring to finally arrive. But since waiting is very tiring, Mary snuggles into Mama Josie’s arms and dreams of green meadows and colorful flowers :)

Size of Josie: approx. 20 cm (not including antennae), size of Mary: 14 cm (not including antennae). Depending on the yarn and crochet hook size, the size of Josie and Mary may vary.

I crocheted Josie with Easy yarn by Elisa and Mary with Lisa by Gründl. Of course, you can also use any other yarn for the two of them. The yarn for Mary should just be a little thinner, since Mary should be smaller.

Materials needed:acrylic yarn (Easy by Elisa and Lisa by Gründl), crochet hooks sizes 3.5 and 2.5, embroidery needle, sewing needle, stuffing

Skills needed: single crochet stitches, magic ring, and increasing and decreasing stitches.

Here is the pattern for the two cuties

For Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, people love to pick flowers from a meadow for moms and dads. And what better way to present them than in a hand-crocheted flower vase?

You’ll need a size 4 crochet hook, leftover yarn in a matching weight, and an empty glass jar.

In the pattern, I describe in detail how to crochet the little buds, and there’s also a separate crochet chart for the pattern.
