Unusual category suggestion: crafts for pets/animals

Please don’t laugh while reading this; the idea has been on my mind for quite some time.
For many people, pets—often dogs or cats, but possibly other animals too—are very important. And dogs and cats should be as comfortable and cozy as possible. There would be plenty to crochet, knit, and sew for them.

What would you think if there were a separate category, or three subcategories: Knitting for Animals/Crocheting for Animals/Sewing for Animals?

What you could make there:
- Make your own toys for pets, e.g. little toy mice for cats that you can stuff with catnip
- Cuddly blankets and sleeping blankets for dogs and cats
- Covers for baskets
- Make/sew small round sleeping cushions for dogs and cats yourself and then pad them with filling material.
- Make your own little sofas or “lounging islands” especially for dogs or cats; they’re often covered with a plushy fabric
- Pillows too, of course

And for those who are really daring, maybe even a little winter coat for walking the dog?

Of course, you could argue that you can buy these things ready-made, but after all, we’re in a crafts forum here :)
Apart from that, there are already patterns for blankets and so on in other categories on Crazypatterns, and you can adapt them accordingly.
And patterns for cat/dog toys would always be a good idea.

If you don’t think the idea is completely off the mark from the start, I’d be happy.

ich sehs schon kommen,
im herbst laufen dann draußen lauter hunde rum mit mäntelchen im aktuell angesagten crazypatterns-style :)
