Crochet a Hat—An Absolutely Simple Method

I finally found a pattern for a hat that even I can manage. :)

I’ve actually tried several patterns already—each time crocheting, unraveling, trying again, unraveling
again—and—this has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the patterns; it’s simply because I’m too clueless to count stitches—
Anyway, counting stitches never worked out
for me, but now I’ve found
this video and watched
it several times, and it looks like I can
actually do this because you work two stitches into every other stitch so the hat fits over your head—even I can manage that.
As long as I just have to count so that I work two stitches into every second or third stitch, that’s totally fine. Because the video only uses half double crochets—not chain stitches, single crochets, slip stitches, and treble crochets alternately.

Even I can make this hat :)

Well, white isn’t exactly my dream color for a hat, but it’s more about the technique than the color of the yarn.

I also liked how the lady in the video did the “edge” of the hat. It makes sense to me.
