I’d love to crochet a hat that I saw online... I really like the pattern, or rather the stitch type. But I don’t know whether it’s crocheted or knitted. Unfortunately, I can only crochet. If it really is crocheted, what is this stitch called?! I’ve attached a picture...

Ich hab das Bild durch einen Link zu einem Verkaufsshop der Mütze ersetzt.
Für mein Empfinden sieht die Mütze gestrickt aus.

ich glaub nicht, dass es ein Problem ist, eine derartige Mütze zu häkeln, aber dazu sagen die Profis ggf. mehr.

Yeah, but those are just links to where you can buy the hat. Right? I don’t think the people at Stiegl or Amazon would know what kind of stitches these are or whether it’s crocheted or knitted. 

Das sind Merchandising-Mützen, bei solchen Sachen gibts ggf. Markenschutz etc.
Für mein Empfinden sieht das Muster relativ simpel aus, aber ich bin definitiv dagegen, die Nacharbeitung von Merchandising-Produkten zu unterstützen. Daher hab ich Dir die Kauflinks in den Thread gepackt. Häkelmützen sehen definitiv anders aus.

Bitte seid so nett, der Dame zu sagen, wie man das Muster nennt, damit sie sich entsprechende Infos zum Muster holen kann bzw. eine passende Anleitung oder ein passendes Video dazu ohne Merchandising-Produkte zum Nacharbeiten nutzen kann.

I’m guessing it’s a hat knitted in reverse stockinette stitch.
However, I’m online on my phone, and when I zoom in on the pictures, they get blurry.

I’d be happy to take another look on my computer tomorrow if no one else has chimed in by then.

It looks like a knitted seed stitch pattern.

I also think it’s a knitted seed stitch. That would be 1 knit stitch, 1 purl stitch alternately, and then staggered in the next round—so purl over the knit stitches and knit over the purl stitches.

Yes, I’d say the hat is knitted in seed stitch, too!
