Stabilizing stitches for crocheted baskets

Hi, I have a question. I read somewhere that someone knows a special stitch that makes crocheted baskets more stable. Unfortunately, I can’t find any information about it. Does anyone here know more about this? I’d really appreciate it. Best regards, Bine

I have a crocheted basket that was made by crocheting around a nylon clothesline, and it’s rock-solid.

There are several ways to make a crocheted basket more stable.
There are several ways to make a crocheted basket more stable.
- The choice of stitch pattern. Single crochet stitches, for example, are very sturdy.<\/li>
- Use a smaller crochet hook than the one specified on the label. <\/li>
- Use very thick yarn, such as textile yarn. <\/li>
- If you’re planning to use a thinner yarn, crochet with two or three skeins at the same time.<\/li>
- Crochet around a sturdier material. A sturdier material could be, for example, rope or the clothesline mentioned earlier. <\/li><\/ul>I hope these tips help you.
