Quickly shortened summer pants that were too long:
with a crocheted edging
Works for other garments too:
crochet on shorter sleeves—or wider sleeves
crochet on shorter skirts—or longer crocheted edgings, etc......

How did you pierce through the fabric? With a regular crochet hook? Was it hard work?

Just use a size 2 crochet hook... it went through the thin fabric like butter, with no resistance at all. ;)
