Better together: image quality & performance visibly improved

we’d like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank our designers and authors. 🙏

Thanks to your high-quality designs and carefully prepared preview images, we’ve seen noticeable progress recently – and this is very clearly reflected in the Google Merchant Center reports.

What has improved (last 30 days):

• The overall quality score is currently “Very good” (well above average).
  
• Especially pleasing: image quality is clearly at a very good level.
  
• For the number of images per listing, with an average of 6.7 images, we are already in an outstanding range.
  

A quick note on the technical side:
At the same time, we’ve further optimized performance so that users as well as search engine crawlers and other automated systems can load pages quickly.

Technically, we’re in a very strong position: Our pages currently load in just under 1 second on desktop and around 1.2 seconds on mobile – making us significantly faster than many websites in web comparisons. This directly benefits the shopping experience and therefore the overall rating.

Bottom line: Thank you for your commitment to quality – it’s not just something we “feel,” it can also be clearly seen in the metrics. We’re delighted with the progress.

I’m amazed at all the things you can measure—and of course I’m thrilled that we’re doing so well. When I open the site, I can only confirm that everything loads instantly and you don’t have to wait impatiently at all. And the product images I see are large, clear, and sharp. The image quality has really improved a lot. That’s another reason why it’s fun to browse CP.
