Dear Franziska,
Yes, the topic of hats and scarves comes up every year. You actually have enough. But the moment you get a new winter jacket, you need new accessories.
Last year I bought myself a (rather dark) green quilted coat. Of course, I still need something to cover my head and neck to go with it. But I haven’t gotten any further than recognizing that need yet.
And the
grandkids
need new things to keep them warm every year, too. They’re still growing, so they simply outgrow their hats. But they don’t want anything knitted or crocheted. It has to be made of colorful fabric. Not just any fabric, but one they like. So I have to ask them.
For my 3-year-old granddaughter, I just found a beautiful, soft, warm remnant of Alpine fleece with glitter on eBay. The next time I visit, I’ll measure her head, and then I’ll sew her a new hat and a new neck warmer. I can show you the fabric already:
Best regards, Ina
