It was sitting there this morning...

at 7:30 a.m. on the wall of my house, while I was waiting for my daughter to pick me up. She was perched there, jet-black, and I thought I’d take a picture of her

That’s a pretty one!
A Nosferatu spider used to live in my garage, but it’s obviously moved on by now.

I wouldn’t necessarily want to share my apartment with them, but other than that, they don’t bother me. There’s actually no animal that I find terrible or disgusting. Even if they aren’t pretty or cute, they’re all at least interesting in some way.

Oh Petra, I also whip out my camera for frogs and >snails when they crawl in front of my lens. :-))
As Veronika says, there are no ugly or disgusting animals—just the tastes of the people looking at them ;-))

I agree with you guys. If we have a spider, grasshopper, or stink bug in the house, we catch it in a glass and take it out to the garden.

  They’re all useful and worth living with. It’s just that some are prettier than others—in the eye of the beholder—just like with people.

It’s finally raining for a good stretch of time here today, so there’ll be plenty of snails crossing my path again as I walk around.

I also catch these “little critters” and put them on the balcony. I think spiders are beautiful—but only outside, please!

This Nosferatu had made herself comfortable in our folding table for the patio. I then moved her to the far end of the garden, behind the greenhouse.


And this mosquito hunter keeps an eye on things at our harbor in the Netherlands, near our boat, making sure there aren’t too many mosquitoes flying around. She lives there with hundreds of friends 🫣😅
