Oh, what beautiful stones, dear Petra! I know how that is. Some projects simply take a little longer to finish. But it was worth the wait. The stones will delight anyone who happens to discover them in your garden. Once you’ve spotted one, you automatically start looking for another.
Dear Marlene, your cardigan is looking great already, too! What kind of yarn are you knitting with? The yarn looks a bit thinner, so that calls for even more diligence and perseverance.
Instead of crafting, I’m still busy with the produce from my garden. Today the last damson plums went into jars, and I also baked a large tray of plum cake with streusel. Tomorrow I’ll preserve my cucumbers as spiced cucumber salad. In winter, the whole family looks forward to the garden treasures in jars. That’s why I have to be diligent now.
I’m knitting with polyester yarn using size 4 needles, Ina.
The sleeves will also have a cable pattern—though I’m modifying it a bit.
I’ll use snaps for the closure and rustic buttons as embellishments.

Now I’m going to get right to work on writing up the pattern.
