, they are so incredibly delicious; my hubby baked them this afternoon. Just the smell coming from the oven while they were baking was enough to make my mouth water

I’m looking at the picture right now, and my husband is peeking over my shoulder: “Oh, meatballs—those look delicious!” 🤣
Men don’t think “cookies” when there’s a chance it could be meat....
But they look good anyway—what’s in them?

250 g rolled oats, 200 g softened butter, 1 egg, 100 g flour, 1 packet vanilla sugar, 200 g sugar, 3/4 packet baking powder—mix everything well, bake at 200°C for about 10–12 minutes using top and bottom heat, then enjoy once cooled

It makes you want to just reach right in and grab some. I have an ancient “cup” recipe for oatmeal cookies—though that one also calls for a cup of ground nuts. We’re big oatmeal fans anyway; we make porridge and stuff like that, too...

Sounds delicious, Inge. Do you use regular oats (crunchy whole oats) or the fine, tender ones?

Quick to make and very, very tasty

I drizzled a little chocolate on top of a few of them.

Tip: 6 cookies per baking sheet—they spread out a lot

I baked the same recipe two weeks ago. Mine are smaller—I only used a teaspoon—and I ended up with a lot of them.
The cookie jar is almost empty now; I’ll have to bake another batch. 😉

Inge, I totally believe you—because I have a gem like that too, who can do and makes everything—except cook! But he always bakes our rolls with lots of love. :)) And I love treating him to other goodies.
