Plush woven fabric

what is plush woven fabric, and what can you do with it?

Plush fabric is a type of fabric—but it can also be a knitted material (it looks like it’s knitted)—that can be used to sew stuffed animals, as well as coats, jackets, hats, muffs, and more. Most plush is knitted rather than woven, because this makes it softer and easier to work with than woven fabric.  There’s short-pile plush, which has an almost smooth surface; then there’s regular plush, where the pile—that’s what the surface of plush is called—is about 0.5–1 cm long; and finally, there’s long-pile plush, which is about 2–5 cm long. This long-pile plush also comes in both crimped and smooth varieties.
