Crochet events other than craft groups

Dear users, dear authors,
Are there any crochet events other than needlework groups?

The adult education center (VHS) used to offer things like that from time to time—for example, a few-hour session on a Saturday where you could crochet something with guidance, like a sweater or something.

Last November, our library hosted a group crocheting session. There were three different shawl patterns to choose from, and people met on Friday evenings. But that was the first time something like that had ever been offered. Otherwise, there are no group craft activities in our town. 

There should be more of these get-togethers where people can crochet together and enjoy friendly conversation. Especially since loneliness is such a big issue these days.

In Schleswig, “we” meet every Thursday to do needlework. Not specifically for crocheting, though...
We just sit together comfortably over a cup of coffee, admire each other’s work, and of course help out when someone gets “stuck” 😁....
I hope I’ll find the energy to go again in the near future....
