.. and a carrying case all in one—I sewed this bag to carry the embroidered picture for my sister; she can then use the
bag for shopping and such.
A week from tomorrow, we’ll finally be able to see each other again after a very long time—well over three years.

Haven’t seen each other in over 3 years—I can definitely understand why you’re both looking forward to seeing each other again. That pretty bag will definitely always remind her of you and your reunion. The cherry motif also goes very well with summer. I hope you both have a wonderful time together.
